She also played a pivotal role in organizing and funding post-graduate fellowship training for graduated Lao internists, thereby enhancing healthcare infrastructure in the region.
In 2006, Dr. Quirk returned to the Twin Cities, Minneapolis, to continue her medical journey as a teaching hospitalist. Her passion for education and mentorship led her to assume the position of Program Director for Hennepin Healthcare's internal medicine residency in 2014, where she continues to shape the future of medical professionals.
Dr. Quirk's affiliations with prestigious organizations such as the American College of Physicians and the Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine underline her dedication to excellence in healthcare. Her achievements and contributions to the field have not gone unnoticed. In 2018, she was recognized as one of the "Top Doctors" by Minnesota Monthly, a testament to her exceptional medical expertise. Dr. Quirk's commitment to education was further celebrated when she received the title of "Chief Resident" at Hennepin Healthcare and was honored as "Resident Teacher of the Year," a title voted by the Graduating AOA Class at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
With an impressive list of credentials, Dr. Rosemary Quirk is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota, and holds the role of Vice Chief of Graduate Medical Education at Hennepin Healthcare.
